Leprosy and the Leper

(Lev. 13:41; Matt. 8:2; Mark 1:40; Luke 17:12–19 and elsewhere). The source describes leprosy as a most terrible and repellent disease, a “stroke” or “plague” sent by the Lord. In many cases it begins internally and may remain hidden for years before appearing outwardly; the sufferer may then languish for many years before death.
