Archimandrite Nikifor’s Biblical Encyclopedia
—a very common biblical name. It belongs to a descendant of David (1 Chron. 3:22); a Merarite Levite in Jerusalem (1 Chron. 9:14); an ancestor of the Levite Obadiah (1 Chron. 9:16); the head of 200 descendants of Elizaphan who helped bring the ark to Jerusalem (1 Chron. 15:8); and the scribe who recorded the priestly lots in David’s presence (1 Chron. 24:6).
