Tychicus
Archimandrite Nikifor’s Biblical Encyclopedia
(Acts 20:4)—an Asian Christian and faithful companion of Paul. He traveled with the apostolic party, carried news and probably letters to churches, and is called “a beloved brother, and a faithful minister and fellowservant in the Lord” (Eph. 6:21; Col. 4:7). Paul considered sending him to Crete and later sent him to Ephesus (Titus 3:12; 2 Tim. 4:12). Later episcopal traditions vary and cannot be verified from Scripture.
