(strength)—the name of several persons. (1) (1 Chron. 6:29) a Merarite Levite, son of Shimei. (2) (2 Kings 21:18, 26) the owner or namesake of the garden in which Kings Manasseh and Amon were buried. (3) (1 Chron. 8:7) a Benjaminite associated with the descendants of Ehud. (4) (1 Esdras 5:31) an ancestor of Temple servants who returned with Zerubbabel; the parallel lists preserve variant forms.
