Diblah Deblatha

Archimandrite Nikifor’s Biblical Encyclopedia

(circle) (2 Kings 25:6 [as given]) — a city or settlement in Hamath, in which King Jehoahaz of Judah was put in chains by Pharaoh Necho, and afterward died in Egypt. Here Zedekiah was tried by Nebuchadnezzar (2 Kings 25:6). In the parallel passage (2 Kings 23:33, 34) it reads: Riblah. According to Robinson, this is probably the present-day Ribleh, on the road from Baalbek to Homs, midway between the two.
