Kingdom of Judah

- after ten tribes of Israel separated from Rehoboam, this kingdom consisted of two tribes, Judah and Benjamin. Under Kings Asa, Jehoshaphat, and Hezekiah its strength and prosperity reached a height comparable to the best days of David and Solomon. Unfortunately, most of its kings and its people often forgot the true God and sank into idolatry, impiety, and pagan vice. As punishment, the people of Judah were taken to Babylon under Nebuchadnezzar (2 Kgs 25:21), and the kingdom was destroyed. The kings of Judah in succession were as follows:
